When a New England–based couple flew down from Boston to tour homes on Lake Norman, just north of Charlotte, North Carolina, they never expected to find their dream home. Until they did. It took one look at the charming lakefront New England–style home located in the Peninsula community and the couple was smitten. “We flew down to house hunt for the weekend and this house was the second one we saw,” says the homeowner. “Honestly, it spoiled me for the rest of the trip.
